Mock: Two Officials Attacked As JAMB Deregistered 14 CBT Centres


The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has revealed that two JAMB officials were attacked when the mock exercise which held on Monday (today).


He revealed that the two officials would also have been set ablaze but for the quick intervention of some good Samaritans.


He said he is yet to ascertain the reason behind the assault on the two officials who have been taken to the hospital after they were rescued.


The registrar made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday when he led the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on a visit to some CBT centres in Abuja during the mock examination. The registrar said the attack took place at a centre in the Lagos State Polytechnic.


Meanwhile, the JAMB has deregistered another set of 14 CBT centres for different offenses that contravenes rules and regulations of the body.
